The Faculty of Resource Management started as Faculty of Management Techniques in 1974. Subsequently it was changed to Faculty of Research and Consultancy in 1976. In 1982, ˜Resource Management" was introduced as the basic concept and the Faculty was re-designated as Faculty of Project Studies and Resource Management. FRM adopted the current nomenclature of Faculty of Resource Management (FRM) in 2011

The aim of the Faculty is to impart management training in the field of Resource Management to senior officers of the three Services and to provide consultancy support in management, in accordance with the laid down directions and policy of CDM. FRM undertakes conduct of training on the following subjects:-

Finance Management is the science of allocating resources among various projects or business units, maximizing the utilization of available resources to achieve business goals; and performing the activities that are necessary in the maintenance of that workforce through identification of requirements.

Supply Chain Management (SCM) Supply chain management (SCM) is the management of a network of interconnected businesses involved in the ultimate provision of product and service packages required by end customers . SCM spans movement and storage of raw materials, work-in-process inventory, and finished goods from point-of-origin to point-of-consumption (supply chain).

The faculty imparts management education and training on the above subjects to the participants of the flagship course of HDMC as well as those of SDMC and various MDPs like SDMC, DAM, DMC, JLC and external capsules at DSSC and AWC.
