How to reach CDM from the Airport / Railway station / Bus stand?
Secunderabad is connected by air, rail and road to all the metropolises and most major cities of the country. Also, one can fly direct to Hyderabad from several international airports
College of Defence Management is about 45 kms from the airport. One could take either a prepaid taxi (currently, costs Rs. 1000, and the counter is available near the exit of the Airport Building). The Institute is known as "CDM" to the locals and is just past Tirmulgherry and on the way to Balaji Nagar. Pushpak – Airport Liner is a luxurious express bus service from airport to important destinations in the city. Pushpak buses are operated by Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC).These are air conditioned low floor buses offering safe, secure and comfortable travel between airport and Secunderabad. From Secunderabad, (Route No:24E, 211M) shuttle bus service operated by Andra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC), runs to various areas in Secunderabad city including to Balaji Nagar. The Secunderabad railway station is about 8 kms from CDM campus. One will have to get out of the station from platform number ONE and reach the prepaid taxi stand and hire a city taxi (costs about Rs 500). Hyderabad Deccan railway station is about 11 km from the institute campus. One can take a 'pre-paid' auto from the counter located outside the exit gate of platform number 1. The prepaid taxi shouldn't charge more than Rs. 900 (as of May 2018), and is the best deal given the options available.
